I've used VLC before and I think it works better than Media Player. Also, didn't know it was oss. I didn't know Mozilla was open source, so that's new.I haven't heard of some others listed, except iTunes. I don't quite understand how iTunes is open source, but maybe your other posts will educate me.
I had worked with them both and found that a good software especially Firefox. Now day, we had so many open sources. It's great way to learn with them with more and more.
